How can you help? First, take time
to read some of the news articles about what is happening in Haiti. Take
time to consider how desperate you would feel if you were one of the
hundreds of thousands of people who have lost their family members and
homes.
Finally, join eagle.ca in our ShelterBox Challenge. Initially we wanted to send two ShelterBoxes to Haiti. Each ShelterBox costs CDN$1,000. For every dollar you contributed, we matched it until we, together, had purchased two ShelterBoxes. We then set to work on the next three ShelterBoxes. eagle.ca contributed 25 cents for each 75 cents you donated for the additional ShelterBoxes until we had committed to five ShelterBoxes to those in Haiti who have lost so much. As of January 20 we are working on box number ten! We have received tremendous support from the community. Many groups are holding fundraisers to assist in the effort. How can you
contribute: For each donation we will issue a receipt acknowledging your contribution. We will forward all contributions to ShelterBox Canada and they will issue official tax receipts for all contributions of $20 or more. Please consider our challenge. The people of Haiti are in desperate need and we can all help. |
