Unfortunately, due to new Coastguard regulations that came out in April 2008, the Caravelle II has been taken out of service for this season. There will be NO boat cruises on Rice Lake this summer.

Two Hour Rice Lake Cruise

Cruise the beautiful drumlin islands of Rice Lake between Gore¹s Landing and Serpent Mounds. Learn about the geology, natural, aboriginal history and settlement history of the area. Listen to stories of Catharine Parr Traill and Susannah Moodie, and their part in the settlement of the Kawarthas. You will see blue herons, osprey nesting sites, and the eagles at Serpent Mounds.

Four hour Otonabee River Cruise

Cruise the river between Rice Lake and the Peterborough Lift Lock. Appreciate the variety of waterbirds and wildlife along the waterway. Learn the history of the Trent-Severn Waterway and the travels of Catharine Parr Traill. A visit to the Canoe Museum is included.
